As we reflect on the first half of the year, I am filled with gratitude and pride for everything our community has accomplished together. I am especially pleased to share that George Derby Care Centre has achieved Accreditation with Commendation. This outstanding achievement recognizes our commitment to delivering exceptional, resident-centred care and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. It reflects the collective efforts of everyone who contributes to our community and reinforces our shared vision of excellence.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our residents, families, staff, volunteers, physicians, Board members, and community partners who participated in the accreditation process and interviews. Your thoughtful feedback, openness, dedication, and collaboration were instrumental in helping us achieve this important recognition. Thank you for sharing your experiences and helping us showcase the exceptional care and services provided at George Derby Care Centre.

While we celebrate this milestone, we also recognize that accreditation is not the finish line; it is an important step in our ongoing journey of continuous quality improvement. We remain committed to listening, learning, and identifying opportunities to further enhance the care, services, and experiences of our residents and their families.
